About

Competition Overview

The Japan Youth Investment Competition is an educational initiative dedicated to improving financial literacy and real-world investing skills among middle and high school students.

In 2026, JYIC received over 1,500 applications across Asia and selected approximately 500 participants across 126 competing teams. Over the course of a 12-week challenge, students analyzed markets, researched companies, managed simulated portfolios, and developed investment strategies grounded in financial reasoning.

Guest Speakers & Experts:
The 2026 competition featured guest speakers from academia, central banking, and global finance, including:

• A current professor at Keio University and Pennsylvania State University
• A former Bank of Japan Policy Board Member
• A former J.P. Morgan senior analyst
• A former Goldman Sachs senior analyst

The competition was supported by Google and Nexa AI, helping JYIC provide free access to practical financial education for students across Asia.

At the conclusion of the competition, top teams advanced to the final round and presented their strategies to judges for awards and recognition.
